Details:
Learn how to effectively conduct and report an appraisal assignment under the guidance of a senior appraiser. Using available technology and resources, students shall collect and analyze subject data and appropriate comparable properties, and map out neighborhood.
Instructor shall guide students through the inspection process on subject property to understand factors that may have a contributory affect on value. Students should bring any tools appropriate to conduct an appraisal.
Students will then progress to the URAR form and utilizing WinTOTAL software students shall sift through data and enter pertinent report information. Students shall apply the value approaches; review appropriateness of each approach; consider the quality of data and the range of indicated values; and learn how to arrive at a value conclusion, the final reconciliation. Discussion will also address the types of written reports and appropriate uses and compliance with USPAP requirements. Time spent determining final appraisal value may qualify to contribute to appraisal log. Course size shall be very limited to ensure low student to teacher ratio.

15 hrs classification credit for appraisal registration/licensure, exam required*
14 hrs appraisal continuing education credit for license renewal, no exam required
12 hrs real estate continuing education credit for license renewal, no exam required
