Comprehensive course instructs students on fundamental issues of home construction. Designed for individuals interested in developing a business or those interested in gaining greater understanding of real estate.
Details:
Course covers every aspect of exterior, interior, and electromechanical home inspection in a basic and easy to understand format. Course is suited to those who wish to learn about construction codes and issues to start a successful independent home inspection business, or individuals who are interested in obtaining greater understanding of residential construction for investment purposes, for business, or for personal gain. Course will review business formation, marketing, and report writing. A computer generated pre-inspection agreement, field worksheet, and narrative report will be provided for students to use in their own business along with other reference material.
Field trips shall be conducted to homes to assist students learn construction from the ground up. Walk through properties with a qualified instructor; inspect issues behind the walls, under the floors and gain a better understanding of IRC code and construction issues to better serve your clients. Completion of this course is recognized by the Housing Inspection Foundation (HIF) as deserving of the Registered Home Inspector (RHI) designation (obtained with membership in the HIF).
Course is valid for 42 CE hours for appraisers and 24 hours for real estate CE.
