Alamode Software Information

Appraisal Training: Mentoring Program
Students already are benefitting from AREA's Mentoring Program. After class many students want to know where to begin their appraisal training. To further the educational experience, AREA has appraisal supervisors to assist you in gaining qualified appraisal experience to further your classification level. Internet Resourses - Appraisal Specific
FNMA Forms:
All appraisals performed on or after 11/1/05 for loans delivered to Fannie Mae must be provided on report forms dated March 2005. This policy applies to manually underwritten and Desktop Originator/Desktop Underwriter (DO/DU) processed loans. As stated in Announcement 05-02, Fannie Mae released eleven final appraisal and property report forms dated March 2005.

USPAP Information
15-Hours of National AQB USPAP is required as part of the 90-hours to become an appraiser. To improve your understanding of professional appraisal standards and ethics you should review the current USPAP provisons and have available the following sections of USPAP prior to attending class: Definitions through Standard 3; Statements 3,4, and 6-10; Advisory Opinions 1-29.
Students can obtain a personal copy of the provisions early for their class by contacting the AREA office, education@area-ga.com, or can order directly from the Appraisal Foundation. The regulations can be viewed and printed for free by visiting the Appraisal Foundation's website: Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice

IMPORTANT NOTE: Any make-ups must be scheduled through office and an administration fee is required. Students who have missed class session time or have incomplete homework/classwork may be ineligible for final exams.

Appraisal Principles - Class 1 of 3 for 90-Hr Appraisal Series
Thank you for selecting AREA to begin your Appraisal Education. Course covers fundamental real estate and appraisal terminology, appraisal principles and provides an overview of three basic approaches to value. Students will be provided insight into the appraisal business, situations requiring appraisals, and licensing requirements.
11/06/07 - Eve/Wknds (Chamblee):
Final Exam was administered Mon., Nov 19 at 6:00 pm. Class attendance and completion of homework is mandatory. Passing requires a minimum grade of 75 on final exam. Grades shall be electronically certified to the state. Once grades have been certifed results shall be posted to website. Students may now check results.

Applications Classes - Class 2 of 3 for 90-Hr Appraisal Series
Class shall study three approaches to value and Fannie Mae Underwriting Guidelines. Students are required to complete a simulated appraisal request on a subject property - including field preparation, selection of appropriate comparables, application of the relevant approaches to value, and preparing URAR Form.
11/20/07 - Eve/Wknds (Chamblee):

National USPAP - Class 3 of 3 for 90-Hr Appraisal Series
This is the National USPAP Course and will cover the provisions set by the Appraisal Foundation regulating appraisal activity standards. Please see detailed information above in Appraisal general news section.
12/15/07 - Chamblee:
Final exam was administered Sun., Dec 16. In class you shall take several exams and quizzes to reinforce the material and prepare you for final. Full attendance and participation shall qualify student for course final, which must be passed with a 76 or greater. Course is then certified to the GREAB and documentation is sent to the Appraisal Foundation. After certification student results are posted on this website.
Grades have been calculated and certified, check results.
Upon successfully completing the full 90-hours required to become a registered appraiser you can now submit your application to the GREAB. Complete directions to submit application to GREAB are found on the AREA website. Good Luck.

To receive classification school exam must be passed with following grades:
- 75% - Licensed
- 77% - Certified Residential
- 79% - Certified General
